Synopsis

Elise, an introverted marine biology student wins a 3 month trip to Papua New Guinea to study the Coral Sea! However, upon her first expedition, she meets a mermaid caught in plastic in the waters who offers to teach her all about life deep under the surface from a first-hand-resident. Elise eagerly takes this opportunity to learn, and the opportunity to talk to a charming girl her age! 

She might be sacrificing facts for fondness because her source unfortunately isn’t very reliable…
